Just saw the cutest commercial ever!

picture this.

Landon Pigg singing, "I think that possibly maybe I'm falling for you" ... A couple that is apart from each other - so the guy sends a picture message of himself in front of the Eiffel tower in Paris, then a picture in front of Big Ben in London.

Each time the girlfriend is treasuring the pictures he's sent.

The girl is sitting by a lake and the sun is almost setting - she picks up her phone and sees a picture he's sent. She looks a little confused because the picture is of her in front of the lake. She looks up and he's walking to her...

such an awesome commercial!!

I've always been a sucker for sappy "love stuff" but am NOW especially a sucker for sappy love(like) stuff sent through technology!

If you haven't seen the commercial - watch for it. I love it!

no more Counterfeit!

COUNTERFEIT:

a copy that is represented as the original
not genuine; imitating something superior;

holding something authentic to a standard that has been based on counterfeit doesn't make sense.

my standards are changing! It's nice.

like a WARM BLANKET

We just took a trip to Wilmar to hear the Hillsong London P&W band. It was an awesome time!

I had invited a few friends to go with me - one friend asked what the night would be like. I told her that, "It's like being wrapped up in a warm blanket, where you feel like you and God are the only ones in the room."

She said, "I really could use a warm blanket right now."

The night was amazing! We had a great road trip out there and were both so thankful for the time we had there!

A great description of

"Praise" is when you speak "well/highly of a person - so they feel welcome to join you".

"Worship" is a "motion of intimacy - as in when you move in for a kiss". It is the action of moving close, wanting intimacy.

What a sweet description of the relationship that we can have with God. The intimacy that we can have with him. He wants to be where we are - but will come when invited. I love it!

Everyone needs a warm blanket!!

Missing

My Kids.

I love being involved in my friends' kids lives...

I was holding a friend's 5 month old son a few weeks ago and I got the thought,

"I miss MY KIDS"

I've never had this thought before.

I am excited to meet them (not in a rush to meet them) but excited! To know their little faces and personalities. To grow with them and learn from them to teach them. To have my own.

Caring for other people's kids will never get old to me! I love it!!

I just can't wait to meet my own :O)

Just a thought

Precious Moments

Most of the time getting together with "old friends" you feel like no time has past - since the last time you were together.

AND THEN you see their kids and realize how much they've grown and that it's been MONTHS. I had a great time with a dear friend and her family. Her son is almost 2 and daughter is now 6 months. It's crazy to think that in their short lives I've only seen them a handful of times. I'm not "Auntie Suzy" because they don't really KNOW me...

But then there are the Precious Moments.

Holding the baby while she cries. Playing with her. Smiles exchanged.

Playing Peek-A-Boo from across the room. Having him come over with open arms to be picked up and held. Getting a BIG WET KISS on the lips. Love it!

My heart MELTED! Her son walked all the way across the room for ME to hold him! I was overwhelmed by how much I love this little boy! I haven't SEEN him as often as I'd like (but that's life of living in different states) - BUT the time that I do have with him is so precious to me! Those moments I'll remember and hold in my heart.

PART 2:

I was at our Good Friday service. The title of the message was "REMEMBER" at the end of the service we took communion and had time of personal prayer and worship.

I was praying, "Lord, you are so Precious. Thank you for all you've done! You're so Precious" The word Precious kept on coming out. It reminded me of that precious time that I had with my little man the night before. The JOY that it brought me when he came to me - he spread out his arms and just snuggled in. Man it moved me! The memory played over in my head - and I had the thought, "THESE are my precious moments with you! This right here. YOU move MY heart! I love when you come to me - and want me to hold you, take care of you, love you, provide for you, comfort you. These are MY precious moments with you!!"

It was so sweet to experience something so real in the love and concern for a child. One of my dearest friend's kids. There is a connection there - because of that love and friendship... AND that's how God feels about all of us! When we just walk across the room to him (metaforically or realistically). He's there waiting to scoop us up and hold us!

I'm so glad there are 2 parts to this! I was going to post this last Thursday - but it didn't feel complete. Now it is!

I hope you get to experience those "Precious Moments" with your loved ones - and that you experience them with God!

A Crown in Transition

"Queen of Procrastination"

This has been a crown that I've worn and shared with an amazing friend of mine for way too long! It's time that we take that crown off and transition to "Queen of GETTING THINGS DONE"

It's nice to FEEL growth!

Definitely transitioning.

sending a hug

through the internet...?

I think it can work.

Missing my sister, brother and bub! So here are some hugs!

Letting Go.

I'm laying down my burdens
I'm laying down my pain
Every cavern worry that is written in this face
I'm letting go
I'm letting go

I'm laying down rebellion
I'm laying down my pride
All the broken promises within this broken life
I'm letting go
I'm letting go

Holding nothing back from You
Ready to do all the things You call me to
Holy hands are reaching up to You
I surrender
I surrender
I'm letting go

I'm pulling down the image
The idols I let stand
I'm holding to the hope that sure they're resting in Your hands
I'm letting go
I'm letting go

I'm bowing in Your presence
Poured out before Your throne
To be a living sacrifice and follow You alone
I'm letting go
I'm letting go

Holding nothing back from You
Ready to do all the things You call me to
Holy hands are reaching up to You
I surrender, here I stand
I surrender, all I am
I surrender, my heart sings
I surrender

Holding nothing back from You
Ready to do all the things You call me to
Holy hands are reaching up to You
I surrender
I surrender
I'm letting go
I'm letting go

Taking Care of Myself

turns out - it's a good thing.

Pampering yourself is a MUST at times.

This week I've had:
a massage (an hour and a half) woo hoo
saw my chiropractor
continued cleaning out my closet

Taking care of myself - doesn't just mean the fun things... but the necessary things also.

I've learned a lot about myself while cleaning out the closet. Seeing the things that I don't want to see about myself. Acknowledge my short comings. Mostly my spending habits.

I've seen that I've thought of "my debt" like a friend. It has been comfort - and I haven't TRULY believed that I would live with out it. Acknowledging HOW I've viewed something and that it's not a healthy view is the beginning of change. Even writing "MY DEBT" bugs me. I have to own it - because I have made it. But it's not MINE anymore - I WILL get rid of it!

I feel like I had a mini break through today. I need to TAKE CARE OF MYSELF. By seeing things for what they are! Taking time for myself is a GOOD THING and a must.
